Sri Krishnarajendra trust was established within the year 1989 with the main objective of providing education to socially and economically backward section of the society generally regardless of caste, creed, race and faith. The Trust was formed by a group of renowned philanthropists, educationists and social staff who have dedicated themselves to transfer education. Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine and Research, Bangalore is maiden venture of Sri Krishnarajendra charitable trust (SKRCT) registered below the Indian Trust Act as a non-profit creating organization whose main objective is to rejuvenate Ayurvedic Education and conjointly to initiate research and development in Ayurvedic medicine globally.
Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine and Research, Bangalore. is approved by Government of Karnataka, connected to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and Recognized by Central Council of Indian medicine New Delhi, India. IIAMR lies close amidst nice scenic beauty within the city Palace Compound. It is removed from the tenacious onslaughts of pollution and remains in pace with the trendy urban life. The establishment offers students a superb climate necessary for ample and correct physical, intellectual and spiritual growth. The institute has established a formidable name for itself. The candidate must have passed P.U.C. or Equivalent Examination (listed with RGUHS) with English as one of the language and Physics, Chemistry & Biology as optional subjects, with minimum of 50% of marks (40% for SC/ST/Category1 candidates from Karnataka) for the admission to B.A.M.S. Course.
